FROM MEXICO WITH LOVE is the story of HECTOR VILLA, a young Mexican boxer, who was raised by CARLOS, a notorious Mexican crime boss. Hector is betrayed by Carlos when Hector is ordered to throw the biggest fight of his career. When the fight starts, Hector's manager Billy sees that Hector will not throw the fight. After Hector wins, Hector and Billy run for their lives from Mexico to the United States.
On the run, Hector's manager, BILLY, gets Hector a few "Smoker Fights" in the U.S. under an assumed name. When Hector is discovered, Hector and Billy are forced to find work on a ranch, run by the evil MR. STEVENS. Mr. Stevens learns that Hector is a fighter and blackmails him to fight one last time. Meanwhile, Hector forms a bond with the migrant farm workers and will do anything to keep them out of harm's way, including fighting the fight of his life.
On fight night, Carlos and his thugs show up. Hector finds himself caught between the love of his people, Mr. Stevens and Carlos. What ensues is the best boxing scene in history of film, courtesy of fight coordinator turned director, Jimmy Nickerson (Rocky, Rocky II, Raging Bull and Fight Club).
